After a much anticipated and debated tax increase proposal, town residents will not see an increase in personal property and real estate taxes for the upcoming year. During Monday’s town council meeting the council voted to keep tax rates at their current levels for real estate and personal property, at $.07 per $100 and $.60 per $100 respectively.

Local women 'Dare to Dream'
Some people hope to someday land their dream job or fulfill their passions, but through a local grant program, a group of women will be making their dreams become reality today. The Front Royal Women’s Resource Center awarded grants of up to $1,000 to six Front Royal women March 18 at its annual Dare to Dream Breakfast. The program provides financial assistance to women who want to develop careers to support themselves and their families. The center has provided 56 grants totaling $39,525 since 1999. |
