After an impressive late season run to win a share of the Northwestern District regular season championship, the Skyline Hawks boys’ basketball team fell flat in the postseason, losing 70-41 in the Region II playoffs to Handley to end their season. |
Card game broken up at gunpoint
In what was described as a “quiet neighborhood,” residents were jarred to learn of an arrest during the early morning hours of Feb. 13. “Front Royal Police responded to a report of a robbery at a residence in the 400 block of W. 12th Street,” investigating Det. Jason Lethcoe said. “Initial reports indicated a male entered the residence during a gathering of friends with his face covered and brandished a firearm.” |
