Hope for the homeless
For 25-year-old mother Samantha McGuire, a home is more than walls and windows – it’s a dream she has yearned for since she was a teenager. McGuire dropped out of school and ran away from home when she was 16 years old to distance herself from her drug-addicted parents. She found herself in an abusive relationship and had to run again. About nine years later, McGuire and her 2-year-old daughter, Kelsea, now live at Harmony Place, Warren County’s only domestic violence and sexual assault shelter for women. |
